Ingredients
For the Smoky Paprika Popcorn:
  • 3.5 ounce bag of popcorn, popped according to package directions
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon powdered blue cheese (optional, but delicious)
  • 4 sprigs of thyme, leaves only
For the Parmesan, Garlic, & Black Pepper Popcorn:
  • 3.5 ounce bag of popcorn, popped according to package directions
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • kosher salt, for sprinkling
For the Lime & Chili Popcorn:
  • 3.5 ounce bag of popcorn, popped according to package directions
  • zest and juice of 1 lime
  • ½ teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
For the Smoky Paprika Popcorn:
  1. Pop your popcorn according to the package directions. Carefully open the bag so that you don't burn yourself with the steam, and set aside to cool slightly. In a small bowl, mix together your salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, blue cheese powder, and thyme leaves. Sprinkle about half of the mixture into the bag, hold it closed, and shake. Repeat with ¼ of the remaining mixture. Pour the popcorn into a bowl and sprinkle the rest of the seasoning on top. Garnish with a few additional thyme leaves, if you like. Serve with an ice-cold beer.
For the Parmesan, Garlic, & Black Pepper Popcorn:
  1. Pop your popcorn according to the package directions. Carefully open the bag so that you don't burn yourself with the steam, and set aside to cool slightly. In a bowl, combine your grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, pepper, and salt. Add about ½ of the mixture to your popcorn in the bag, hold it shut, and shake. Repeat with ¼ of the remaining mixture. Pour the popcorn into a bowl and sprinkle the rest of the seasoning on top. Garnish with a little extra cheese and pepper, if you like. Serve with a glass of red wine.
For the Lime & Chili Popcorn:
  1. Pop your popcorn according to the package directions. Carefully open the bag so that you don't burn yourself with the steam, and set aside to cool slightly. Add about half of your popcorn to a large bowl, pour your lime juice in, toss, and then add in the rest of your popcorn and toss again. Toss with the lime zest, chili powder, and salt. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Serve with a cold shot of tequila and a lime, or, alternatively, a margarita.
