Brooklyn Bourbon Shake
Prep time
Total time
Ice cold chocolate, bourbon, and cherry milkshakes topped with vanilla bean and bourbon whipped cream.
Serves: 3-4 shakes
For the Milkshakes:
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 4 ounces bourbon
  • 1 Big Cherry candy
  • chocolate syrup
  • whipped cream (recipe below)
  • candied or maraschino cherries, for garnish
For the Whipped Cream:
  • 2 cups cold heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1 vanilla bean
  1. First, make your whipped cream - it can be stored in the fridge, in an airtight container, for up to 3 days. In your mixer, whisk together the heavy cream, powdered sugar, bourbon, bitters, and vanilla bean. Continue to whisk until the cream has stiffened and form soft peaks, about 5-8 minutes. Taste and adjust flavors to your preference. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. When you are ready to serve your milkshakes, drizzle chocolate syrup around the inside of your glasses (see video for step-by-step). In your blender, combine your vanilla ice cream, milk, bourbon, and candy. Blend until smooth, then divide among your glasses. Top with your whipped cream and a candied or maraschino cherry, and serve immediately.
