Spicy Honey S'mores Rice Krispie Treats

Upgrade your rice krispie treats with cocoa cereal, chopped chocolate, crushed graham crackers and chili-infused honey marshmallows (and honey)!
Serves: 25-30 treats
  • 12 cups cocoa rice cereal
  • 5 graham crackers, roughly crushed with your hands
  • 1 cup chopped chocolate or chocolate chips
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1½ bags (15 ounces) marshmallows
  • 1 box (4.5 ounces) Little Boo Boo Bakery spicy honey marshmallows (you can add extra regular marshmallows if you are not going this route)
  • 3-4 tablespoons Bees Knees spicy honey
  1. Grease and/or butter well a 9x13-inch casserole dish. Set aside. In the biggest bowl you've got, combine the cereal, crushed graham crackers and chocolate. Toss and set aside.
  2. In a large, heavy bottomed pot, melt your butter over medium heat until melted fully but not browned. Add in all of your marshmallows, and mix until melted, stirring often, for about 5-8 minutes, until, again, fully melted but not browned.
  3. When ready, use a greased spatula or spoon to pour the melted marshmallows over your cereal mixture. Mix quickly with your greased spatula or spoon to combine everything well, then pour everything into your prepared 9x13-inch casserole dish and use your hands or a utensil to press the cereal into the pan and smooth out the top.
  4. Drizzle your honey on top of everything, then set aside and allow the treats to cool, about 30 minutes or so, before slicing into squares. These will keep well in an airtight container or sealable bag for up to 3 days.
